Pioneer Strategies' President addresses

NCSU Public Relations students

RALEIGH – Pioneer Strategies President Frank Williams, a 1993 graduate of the N.C. State University Department of Communication, addressed the NCSU chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) on Thursday, November 3.  Williams, who was a PRSSA member while enrolled at NCSU, provided attendees with tips to prepare themselves for life after graduation.

“While more time than I care to admit has passed since I was a student, I do remember what it was like to be in their shoes,” said Williams.  “Because the transition from college life to the professional world can be intimidating, I attempted to provide PRSSA’s members with tips to help them prepare for graduation.”

Williams encouraged attendees to get a head start by networking with Public Relations professionals while they are still in school, gain real-world experience and build a portfolio through internships, and focus on improving their writing skills.

"We were excited to have Frank as our guest speaker," said Claire Howell, president of the NCSU chapter of PRSSA. "His vast experience and knowledge of Public Relations makes him an invaluable resource for aspiring professionals like us."
