Pioneer Strategies’ President Among
Featured Speakers at NCSU’s “PR Day”
RALEIGH – Frank Williams, president of Pioneer Strategies and a
1993 graduate of the N.C. State University Department of
Communication, was among the featured speakers at “PR Day,” an
annual event sponsored by the N.C. State University chapter of
the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
Williams, who was a PRSSA member while enrolled at NCSU,
provided attendees with tips to prepare themselves for life
after graduation. The event was held Friday, Apr. 13 at the
McKimmon Center in Raleigh.
“While more time than I care to admit has
passed since I was a student, I do remember what it was like to
be in their shoes,” said Williams. “The transition from college
life to the professional world can be intimidating, and I was
glad to share my experiences and insights with the future public
relations professionals who attended this event.”
Williams encouraged attendees to get a head
start by networking with public relations professionals while
they are still in school, gain real-world experience and build a
portfolio through internships, and focus on strengthening their
writing skills.
