About
Frank Williams
President,
Pioneer Strategies
Frank
Williams' interest in public relations began as a student at
North Carolina State University, where he served as public
relations chair of the Delta Rho Chapter of Theta Chi
Fraternity. While serving in this capacity, he gained an
appreciation for the impact an organization's reputation has on
its ability to achieve its goals. During this time, Frank
developed a passion for the public relations process and chose
to pursue a career in the public relations profession.
Frank earned his degree from North
Carolina State University's Department of Communication in 1993.
He entered the public relations profession shortly after
graduation, when he secured his first freelance consulting
client. In addition to his public relations
experience, Frank has front-line sales experience in the
advertising, telecommunications and financial services fields.
When Frank formed Pioneer Strategies
in August of 2001, he began with one small client. Since
that time, the firm has built a diverse base of more than 60
clients throughout North Carolina. Pioneer's work has been
recognized by both the MarCom Creative Awards and the
Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Excellence in Communication. In addition, Frank
received the Triangle Business Journal's
"40
Under 40" Leadership Award and was inducted into the
"40 Under 40" Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2006.
He also received the N.C. State University Communication Alumni
Circle's Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award in 2006.
Frank has been a featured speaker
for a variety of organizations in the Triangle area. He
has addressed gatherings of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of
Commerce, the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce, the Wake Forest
Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association, the N.C. State
University chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of
America (PRSSA) and a number of civic and political organizations.
Frank has also written articles and columns for a variety of
publications.
Actively involved in civic and
business affairs, Frank is a member of the Business Leaders'
Club and was recently elected to a second term as president of the
Raleigh Public
Relations Society. He served as 2005 public
relations Chair of Strike for Survival, a bowling competition to
benefit the American Cancer Society, and was a leading
fundraiser for the event. Frank previously served as publicity
director of the
Raleigh Jaycees and Alumni Corporation president for the Delta Rho
Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity.
Frank grew up in the eastern North
Carolina community of Northwest, located near the Town of Leland
in northern Brunswick County. He has lived in Raleigh
since 1988, where he is an active member of
Providence Baptist Church.
